What data do we process?

  • Account: name, email address, phone number (optional), password (stored only in encrypted form), notification settings.
  • Competition entry: name, email address, phone number, club, country, category, team, note to the organiser, payment status.
  • During the competition: drawn peg, weighed catches (weight, length, species, time) and the photo taken at the weigh-in.
  • Technical data: IP address and browser type in the server log, for security reasons.

What is public?

On competition pages, participants' names and clubs, the draw, the results, the catches and the catch photos are visible to everyone – this follows from the nature of competitions, and you consent to it when you enter. Your email address and phone number are only visible to the competition organiser.

Purpose and legal basis

Managing your account and entries is necessary to provide the service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Publishing results and photos, as well as email notifications, are based on your consent (point (a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Server logs are based on our legitimate interest in operating securely (point (f)). Statistics cookies are only used with your consent.

How long do we keep it?

We keep account data until the account is deleted, competition results as part of the competition archive until the organising club decides otherwise, and server logs for no more than 30 days. You can request deletion of your account using the contact details below.

Who has access?

Entry data can be accessed by the competition organiser and the assigned weighers. The site runs on our own server; we do not sell data to third parties. If you allow statistics cookies, Google Ireland Ltd. receives anonymised usage data; this transfer may be based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
